I'm a huge novice when it comes to old bicycles. But I came across this Holdsworth Zephyr? I was hoping for any information anyone might be able to help me out with. Year? Price? Thank you.

I'm not too well up on Holdsworth models but the Zephyr was a well regarded model made from Reynolds 531 tubing. This doesn't look like the same. The stem mounted shifters are usually found on American bikes.
Can't see any Holdsworth decals so perhaps you can post some better pictures and from the drive side, plus the head badge.
Time wise looks like it's from the 60/70s.

Looks like a Falcon / Elswick frame from the late 70's. There's a thread on Retrobike where you can post the frame number for the year of manufacture if it's a Holdsworth

Diffiult to say without more pics and/or a frame number. Certainly the frame doesn't look like a Holdsworth - the lugs, rear stays and dropouts are all wrong, so we can be fairly certain its not a Holdsworth, CB or otherwise from the Holdsworthy stable.

From what little we can see id guess early 80's, one of the cooking brands rather than Holdsworth, value £50 up to £100 if its in good running order. Little or no "classic" value, unless it belonged to someone famous.

Cottered cranks and suicide levers. Pretty much what every cooking grade low end "racer" used to come with in the 70's and 80's. The frame is almost certainly plain gauge gas pipe, whatever the true identity of the bike is. Has utility value as a bike but minimal financial value, IMHO. Unless it's a high quality lightweight 531 frame in disguise, which I very much doubt.

Hi there,

I am new to this forum and not much of a cyclist but my brother in law who is an avid cyclist has this Limited Edition Holdsworth 2011 for sale. I was wondering if anyone could confirm exactly what it is before I attempt to wriute a description and sell it for him.

Thanks in advance

If your brother in law is an avid cyclist can he not write a description himself?
