I've been keeping an eye out for cheap, clapped out old bike frames to use as a fixxer-upper, to teach myself more about bike mechanics and something to do over summer when I am not fishing on my days off. Nothing has turned up that suits any of the projects I have in mind.

HOWEVOOOOR

Today, get a call from the old man who's doing a partial house clearance along with some other jobs, there's bikes there and go take a look. So off I go... Uppon arrival I find

Old Racer (massive frame)

Old Tourer

ladies front sus mtb

old raleig full sus mtb

unknown full sus mtb

unknown rigid mtb

old hardtail mtb (might be an old jump bike I dunno what it falls under)

SO, the jump bike type one is on it's way, as is the old raleigh thing, gonna mess about with them both. Both would be called BSOs but that's all they need to be for what I am doing.

Shortly to follow is the old racer, which is to big for me really, ridable but not ideal, I wanna have a go at making this into a Single speed.

Also gonna take the tourer thing, as I was looking at it I couldn't figure out WHAT I'd do with it but something is telling me it has potential.

I "might" have the ladies as a project for the misses, that one wasn't in THAT bad of a condition.

With the exception of the ladies MTB they are all at this point totally buggered, ugly heaps of sh...scrap. But that's what I am looking for! I'll get picks up before/after etc.

Oh also a free Pugeot 106 but never mind about that

tourers are good about town bikes, or stripped back to be racers if the one doesn't fit

have a fun summer
