Historical threads

If you want to look at your own thread history, you can do so in your profile, so far, so good. At the bottom you have the option to view thread you started only and this is where it goes pear shaped.

When you reach the end of what it retrieves and ask it to display more, it reverts back to showing you posts, not threads. In fact it's the same on other people's profiles, making it quite difficult to see older threads.

So my question is, can this be improved? If t can't, then so be it but it's a shame if so, I quite like looking back occasionally.

It uses the search system so it is a trade-off between the number of results and the impact on the server of running large-scale searches over the millions of items of content.

I've increased the results limit which will allow you to go back a bit further, but if I increase it too far it will slow down searching for everyone for every search.

I'm hoping to upgrade us to a new server sometime this year so it may be something we can increase further once we've got the new kit.

In fact, you've tweaked it pretty much as far back as I go and about 10 pages further back than it went before; so perfect. I hope it doesn't impact the server though.
