hi all, please help me im looking at a viking torino, it have carbon forks, aero rims etc etc but i dont know anything about gears and where the brake levers are? Also if anyone has every owned one or had a go on one? Please help me out there is so many bikes out there and im sorry to say this is the top end of my budget, seen some reviews that have been very good but there are not many. Many thanks guys safe riding

Hi Luke,

I don't know that make, a quick Google shows it's a mail order job. You really do get what you pay for so it's basic but looks solid. Another option is, have you considered second hand? For a first road bike you will get a lot more for your money. If you really want to go for new then have you checked out Decathlon

They're Shimano Sora 3400: http://cycle.shimano...pe-st_road.html

Braking works as you'd exepct; pull back on the lever to engage. To change gears the brake lever can be pushed to the side to change one way and there's a little lever for your thumb on the side that changes gear the other way.

thats great thanks tim, so the bike has all the features of a realy expensive one? I think ill have one at that price
