Hi guys newbie here needs advice

im looking for a road racer for around £200 can anyone point me in the right direction as ive heard theres alot bikes that look nice but pretty crap once you ride them thanks.

You able to stretch your budget at all? Triban 3 in decathlon is great value for money at £300. Or the carerra tdf in halfords isnt too bad but no carbon fork.

the other option is to see if your employer (assuming you are employed) offer a cycle to work scheme

Give a couple of local bike shops a call, see if they have taken anything in as a trade in. You can sometimes pick up a bargain.

Bit of a punt but ebay might get you a lovely "classic" racer for that sort of cash, with a bit of history and some careful ownership behind it...

I bought a Triban 3 and absolutely love it!!! If you can it's definitely worth the money and you can upgrade parts etc later. If you have a Decathlon near you they are very happy for you to have a spin around the store.

Right ive decided to stretch myself to £300 really fancy a decent bike what shall i go for carrera tdf or triban 3 (prefer the look of the triban)
