Hello

Roger06 from coastal West Sussex. Finally got myself a decent cyclocross bike, mainly for 6 mile commute to work in order to save a bit of money and get some exercise. Really enjoying it and am riding more with my kids as well.

Bike was £500 which I know many regard as 'cheap', but it seems quite a lot to me! Having quite a few frustrating mechanical problems (the nearest shop is an hour by train so not practical to take it back) so will probably be posting a lot in the mechanical forum.

We hope to be taking the trikes to Selsey this weekend and maybe the will shine

£500 is a sensible amount to spend on a bike - when you consider that new bikes can cost between £99 and in excess of £3k
at 25p running cost per mile ( by car ) its paid for itself in 2000 miles
