whereabouts in Transylvania are you? I did a wonderful tour through Romania a few years ago, passing through Sibiu and Sighişoara along with some mountain passes, and also did some hiking in the Făgăraș mountains before that. There is some truly wonderful scenery and it's a fascinating country for visitors - it's a shame not more people over here know about it.

I am from Cluj (not that far from Sibiu and Sighişoara).
You are right, those are very nice places, but I think the fact that they are less visited makes them even more attractive.
If anyone like biking, climbing, hiking should definitely try Romania
