Hi from Swindon

Good afternoon guys

just a quick hello to all at the Cycle Chat forums, my name is Tony and I am semi retired after spending my life on the railways, I am 59 years old and married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren, I am in the process of buying a bike as I am very overweight and unfit and so want to get back to some kind of shape, there are a lot of cycle tracks and paths around the area I live in, in Swindon, so I am going to take advantage of these.

Ive not got my first bike yet but have a budget of around £500 to £800 and I am actively looking now, I look forward to chatting and getting advice off all you seasoned pros

Make sure the bike (when chosen and tried) is the right fit: comfort is everything at the beginning.

There's plenty of sound advice here from a lot of qualified and experienced cyclists. There's a lot of laughs to be had, to, but watch out for the 'other place' where it's a bit cut 'n' thrust.
