Hi from sunny Edinburgh

Hi folks, my name is Shaz & I have just joined the forum.

Although I use to have a crappy old MTB but I took up cycling seriously during Covid & acquired my first proper bike from Halfords. Since then I have got myself a collection of the following bikes,

Boardman Adventure 8.6
Pinnacle Arkose 3
Giant Propel Advance 1
Giant Talon 2
Calibre Stitch

I am great believer of infamous equation(N+1)lol...therefore ended up buying myself another bike couple of days ago(Ridley Fenix SLA 105) despite being warned by the mrs that another bike and garden shed is where I should base myself for the rest of my life!! However as it has been mention on the forum already that it was an absolute steal at £599 so couldn't resist the temptation or at least that will be my justification anyway! haha

Big welcome from me here,i am glad you got my joke.I love Edinburgh,our daughter did four years at Uni there.I loved my visits.The day of graduation they took over the town.All students and relatives walked to the Castle which at 17-00 was closed off to the public,my word graduation was spectacular with that backdrop.I cannot remember why it was not done at the Uni,it could have been something to do with relaxing the covid rules.

I saw that Ridley deal, unbelievable. As was the Ultegra one at £899 though they only had small and medium when I looked, no good for me. I (just) managed to resist the 105 though.

Yes you’re right the Ultegra model for £899 was too good especially with a carbon frame but since I already have Giant Propel areo bike with Ultegra group set so I was more inclined towards 105 one. So far no further update from Evans so fingers crossed. I have had few experiences in the past whereby orders were cancelled by Sportsdirect for small items and money refunded & I just hope it doesn’t go that way😫
