What a forum thank you all for the information contained here in particular the ride guide...... Brilliant.
Obviously rode a bike as a kid some 40 odd years ago then got married had children etc...
Seven years ago decided me and the wife would do some mountain\trail rides . Two years ago I stopped all physical activity because of knee problems . This year started to run again and ride , new mountain bike purchased and enjoying the local paths and trails , however the burning desire to ride a racer like back then is starting to bite hard .
So found this forum while looking for road advice.
Back to reading for me.

Hi & Welcome.
We used to live in Stoke and would ride out to the Hollybush, on the towpaths, most Sundays. I miss the towpaths sometimes.
