I am 75, and just getting back to cycling again. I only have a crap (apparently) Dunlop Sport bike. I am doing it up and waiting for a new rear derailleur, grip shifters, grips and chain etc. I know it's not a good bike but it was all I could afford. I would like an old Claud Butler but they are very few and far between. I only intend riding locally around the East Ayrshire moors so nothing too taxing for my old bones. Anyway, I expect to ask some questions as I go along so be prepared.

keep a look out on your local Gumtree etc. I got a perfectly decent univega mountain bike for a fiver the other week.

Don't sweat it. If the Dunlop Sport is what I think it is, it's Sports Direct flogging the life out of a Universal Cycles design that was basic twenty years ago. There is much worse out there!

This is like the one I have but a different colour. Bit concerned because my wife says it is a boys bike. I'm 5' 6".
