Hi not sure what I'm doing, posted pics of what I believe is a 1937 sunbeam Royal tandem, can't find serial number, searched all the usual places

I shouldn’t worry about it. Might be worth dropping that fork anyway as the grease has probably dried out. I’d replace all those cables, inner and outer, too. Chains also might be a good idea. How are the tyres? Are the seat posts free in the frame? I shouldn’t worry about removing the cranks to grease the bottom bracket unless there’s a lot of play, those cotter pins are going to be real barstewards to remove.

Tandems... pah... silly things... bought Frau Fritz one last fall and now that all she wants to do!

Brilliant fun, makes sure the tires are good and if in doubt, make sure to replace them with tires that are up to the added stresses of tandem use. Apparently they are hard on tires

And brake pads

And front forks.

Something about weight... I guess
