Hi all, just some advice with the 2 bikes im looking at

Hi everyone, im new to the whole road race era of today but i am picking ym new bike up in around 1-2 weeks, ive found the 2 that are in budget and come with great reviews... Im looking at around £400-£450 and the 2 ive found are:

1) Giant Defy 4 (2010 model)
2) Kona Zing

Anybody have any advice on either bike or any other suggestions within my budget, ideally want to stay up at around 18-24 gears, whilst getting back into the sport.

Of the 2 bikes you list i would say the kona is a better bike as it has a carbon fork which will iron out the bumpiness of the road and better equipment.

I used to recommend my bike, a carrera virtuosso as a cheaper option as you can pick them up for £369 but for another £50 notes you can get a carbon fork so the retailer needs to bring its prices in line with the market i think.
