Hi all,

Just a quick hello because apparently it's the done thing on this forum

Just bought a neglected 2011 Giant Defy 2 which no doubt will need a few bits sorting, so sorry in advance if I bore the crap out of a few of you! Bit of a newbie to the road riding scene so thanks in advance.

No doubt you will catch the cycle bug like everyone on this forum.
The beauty of 2nd hand bikes is you can customise it to your exact needs and save £££ as the original owner probably paid full price for the machine.
I did exactly the same as you, picked up a beautiful Specialized Tarmac SL2 for a bargain price.
The components are high spec and the frame carbon which essentially means I'll gain money on the bike if I choose to sell it (which I never will!)

Get out on your bike and see it's personality, cornering, pedals, gears etc will all feel different to every other bike.
Make sure you wear a helmet and buy some good clip in shoes to maximise efficiency.
