Hernia

I'm off to hospital on Friday to have hernias in my groin fixed. Has anyone else had this done and how long before you got back on your bike?

I have an abdominal hernia thanks to a cm tear in my one pack.
Lucky that it hasn't stopped me riding.

Had it done over twenty years ago. Was in hospital for a week off work for six weeks, couldn't drive for six weeks never mind cycle but things have changed an awful lot since then. You will probably be a day case but you need to ask the surgeon, who will probably err on the side of caution. Good luck for a speedy recovery

Went in on Friday and was out on Saturday morning. Still very sore and have been signed off work for three weeks. After that I should be as good as new.
