2011 was a good solid cycling year and I'm hoping 2012 will be as enjoyable.

2011 went well until September. Ill health then dramatically curtailed my cycling down to just a few slow miles a week. I am now feeling much better and here's raising a glass to 2012. Hoping for lots of miles, the Dunwich Dynamo and maybe another Sportif if I can find a fairly local one.

With only a few hours of 2011 left here in Korat, there was only one event that i will remember the year for. My wife of 10 years was in the emergency room of our local hospital and had a massive myocardial infacrtion on the 23rd of April. Over the next 40 hours her heart arrested a further 17 times. Late on Sunday evenng, she arrested and I was told that she was brain dead and had massive organ failure. I, then, made the hardest decision of my life - I told the doctors that if she arrested again, do not ressuscitate but to let her slip peacefully away. She arresred again at 2:30 am and died in my arms at two minutes past three.

As we enter 2012, may i say to you and your families "Lang mey yer lum reek"

Only got back on the bike in 2011, lost 3 stone, done a couple of charity runs and the C2C, doing LEJOG in July 2012, looking forward to the new year, all the best to you all for 2012

unfortunately, i work 30 miles away from home, and shifts to boot, so commuting is totally out of the question

Been a good year for me , started to go on weekend rides , joined the local CC and did a sportive.
2012 remains to be seen as sprog due on wednesday/thursday so time and cash will be in short supply.
