When I was a boy my sister had a Hercules bike they were very popular what became of the make.
Was that an electric bike?

Back in the day they were as good as any other mass produced bike .
As long as the rider enjoyed it that's all that matters.
Eventually they were swallowed up by Raleigh .
Many famous cyclists in the 50's used Hercules

Thanks my sister and her friends had them I remember her having it for Christmas.

One of the most famous names was Eileen Sheridan. Still alive at 98yrs young.

But if you read down the article, it says that her frame was provided by another supplier as the Hercules frames were too heavy.

My first two wheeler was a Hercules! Was only 6 at the time and really liked it.
