I purchased a Focus road bike in December 2006. Its a great bike, but having recently broke a spoke I am now informed that these spokes are no longer available and Wiggle recomend I 'upgrade' my wheels (at my cost). Are there any Trading Standrds experts out there that can let me know if the is some form obligation for Wiggle/Focus to ensure spares are available?? This is not going to be cheap!

what wheels are they ?

Spokes break - normal routine. Take the wheel to a good LBS and they should be able to replace the broken spoke.

yep, I've had 2 spokes go and LBS charge me £9 to replace spoke and retrue the wheel

If the wheel is a standard size, which it is, then any spoke of the right length will do.

Sounds like Wiggle are taking the pi$$, any good LBS should be able to replace a spoke for you.
