I have seen these shoes on Wiggle http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-r10-road-cycling-shoe/ and was wondering whether these would fit my existing pedals I have (see the attached photo). As I understand I need to also buy some cleats to go with the shoes http://www.wiggle.co.uk/look-keo-grip-cleats/ but I don't know whether my pedals will take these cleats

Those pedals are designed to take toe cages, so in theory can be worn with any type of shoe. The DHB shoes in the link would probably not be suitable, as they have a hard plastic sole designed for three-bolt 'clipless' pedals.

@dme916 they also look like the cages are missing

if you want to try riding clipped in then keep an eye on either Aldi or Lidl as they sometimes have cycling shoes on offer try and go for the stiffer soled ones and then get some pedals to match

To be honest with you new clipless pedals are relatively cheap and shoes range from £30 up.

What you need to be aware of is the two main types of pedals you have spd which is predominantly used for mtb but more and more people use this for road use as the shoes tend to be easier to walk in based on mtb trainer styling with grippy soles. Alternatively you could go full spd-sl which is you triangle like cleat with 3 bolts again pedals aren't overly expensive and shoes start quite cheap but tend to me much more difficult to walk in due to the larger cleat on the sole.

If you tend to do alot of off the bike walking then spd is your best option if your looking for out right riding the spd-sl is the best.
