help with chain size

I have just changed my groupset and have gone from. 8 speed to 10 speed bought new everything question is will my new chain need links removing got compact chainset and 11/28. Your thoughts on this would be helpfull only looks a bit strange to me

More than likely there will need to be links removed. It is possible they may not, it depends on the bike. Getting the chain length right sometimes gives me fits. Be careful. Don't cut the chain until you are very confident you know the right length.

Without going through the rear derailleur mechanism, wrap the new chain around the largest chainwheel on the front and the largest sprocket on the cassette; note where it would need to be joined and add two links (one inch) to that point - that's where you need to split it.

If you're using a KMC 'missing link / master link type connector, you might need to go plus or minus one link (half an inch) - if so, obviously go longer first :smile:
