Help with bike!

Just got hold of this Rudge but don't know anything about it! can't seem to find any frame numbers apart from a number 8 on the bottom. First google tells me its a 1953 tourer, anyone have any ideas?

Can't help with identification, but that'll be a great project. Look like newish rims and spokes? You're going to love stripping that down to every single component then building it back up again.

I've got exactly the same yellow Dunlop puncture repair box as on that fourth photo - inherited it from my dad, and it still goes in my back pocket every ride.
