Hi there,
I'm just restoring a humber cycle from the 1950's (not the duplex fork one). I'm getting confused trying to date it as I have conflicting data from the aw hub and the lever and head badge.
1. Head badge mention HM the king so it's 1952 or before.
2. Sturmey archer lever is the the GC3A model which was 1953 to 1956
3. This is the weird one, the AW hub has no year and just says patent (see this link to one sold on eBay which is exactly the same as the one I have). The hub is on a raleigh westrick rim, but the bike has cable brakes and not rod.

Usually the stranger items are all newer so I might have a guess that the back wheel was from another bike. On the net, the aw no year hubs are supposed to be wartime but I can't get verification.
Anyone else seen one of these and have any info.
Will post pictures when I am allowed.
Thanks for any help.
Tony
