Hi everyone,
I have a Geoffrey Butler frame and fork + a couple of other components on it - seat pin, headset, BB and a stem.
I wondered of anyone knows much about these frames - I used to walk past Butler's shop in South Croydon on my way to school - but know nothing about their frames - builders etc.
Had this one for years, was hanging in a friend of my Dad's garage for years. It's 531, has Nervex lugs, shot-in seat stays, 40" wheelbase, my Dad's friend said it was built by Cliff Shrubb...needs a refurb and building up.
Oh, and its built for 27" wheels...700s look far too small on it!
Has a gear hanger too.
Anyone throw any light on this - like to know how old it could be(Butler's have no records by the way), although a chat with one of their people mentioned Cliff Shrubb.
Thanx, Roadking.
