Afternoon All,
i have a boardman team carbon 2009 with SRAM Rival groupset and ritchey WCS semi deep rims, i am not getting on with the SRAM double tap and would like to upgrade to a Shimano 105 groupset, would my ritchey wheels take a 11 speed ,
what i want to upgrade to
Components included within this Shimano 5800 groupset are:

105 5800 brake caliper (standard set)

105 5800 compact (50-34T) or Semi-compact (52-36T) chainset (see buying options)

105 5800 front derailleur (braze-on)

105 5800 rear derailleur (short cage)

105 5880 cassette (11-28)

105 5800 STi levers

11 speed chain (shimano compatible) included

BB-R60 English thread bottom bracket included

i have tried looking on the ritchey website but not really getting anywhere, im very new to this and had a mare on the tour de torkshire sportive with the bike

Happy to be proven wrong, but I suspect that the wheels will not take 11 speed as it was not released in 2009, so hubs weren't built to the necessary width to take 11 speed.

What problems are you having with you SRAM double tap?

If you stay 10-speed, then the only new components you'd actually need to run 105 would be the shifters and rear mech. 10-speed 105 5700 stuff is still available new and loads on ebay.

my good friend has been in and borrowed my bike and sorted all the issues i had out, so looks like i should be good to go :smile:
