help please. Bike just isn't riding smoothly and i dont know why

Afternoon all,

Not sure what ive managed to do to my relatively new mountain bike but for some reason its just not running smoothly at all. The gears are all changing smoothly and not making a noise so i dont believe it to be them. It feels to be in the pedals, their is like a slight clunking noise when i pedal. I thought it may be the pedals themselves, though there isnt any obvious play in them when i have had a look.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what it may be? Im reluctant to take it to the shop going in completely blind as to how serious it is.

Are the brakes rubbing on the rims?

Are your cone nuts too tight/loose?

Are your tyres pumped up to max pressure?
