Hello all,

Was not really sure where to post so i thought i would start here!

Well cut a short story shorter, my PC crashed last week and amongst all the crap work stuff i dont really care about i have lost my cycling spreadsheet!!!

It started as a cost evaluation between riding a bike to work and driving, looking at fuel prices/mileage etc then expanded into an evaluation on my cycling averages distances etc, I remember a few coments about people having them and i am so busy now trying to redo some work i dont have time to get a new spreadsheet before i forget the figures since saturday.

Has anyone got one they can email so i dont have to start again from scratch (i hate building docs in Excel!!)

Cheers.

Bite the bullet and build one - it isn't that hard.

As a stop gap measure just create a table to record your information until you get time to build a spreadsheet to do exactly what you want.

Don't know what sort of resources you have to hand but one method to recover data from a locked out HDD is to use a copy of a Linux Live CD (Ubuntu ?) and a pen drive in a usb socket.

Boot the PC to the Live CD. The CD will recognise the existence of the pen drive. Once fully booted you should be able to see the contents on the HDD and should be able to copy your critical data across to the pen drive.

or if you can get your hands on a copy of ERD Commander for Vista you should be able to do the same thing. I understand that ERD is now owned by M$ so a quick Google should point you in the correct direction.

Hope this helps
