Hello all,

Was or am looking for some advice.

I currently have a Specialized Secteur Elite 2010 Model which I use to get work and back and ride out with friends at the weekend. I seem to get on really well with it and it’s my second bike within three years of cycling.

The help I’m looking for is I would like to build a single speed bike for various reasons one to cycle to and from work and a bike that I can use locally and is it easy to maintain as I’m using it every day.

Now I have a frame (the blue one) and I have been given a bike (the purple one) by my uncle before he passed away which has hardly been used and is pretty much still intact from how is bought from the shop but it’s still pretty old.

Now firstly which of the two frames should I choose to use?

If I do choose the blue, is there any value in the purple that I can sell l to get parts to build my project bike or vice versa

Also the separate wheels seem to be very nice wheels are they two good to go on any of these frames?

Any help or advice would be great.

I like the look of the Sun, in all seriousness, plus its already stripped out.

Try to find a motorcycle garage that'll Waxoyl the inside for you too. If you fancy splashing out, Argos of Bristol are excellent painters/finishers. A pal of mine had a rescued Colnago done in flamboyant candy apple red and it looks amazing.

Or use Hammerite!

Ride the one that fits?

The purple one is far larger than the blue one. If that saddle is positioned for your riding position then it's WAY too big for you.
