Help identify this vintage bike.

Could anyone help me identify this bike and how old it is? I did post this before but now i have some better pictures of it:

No idea I'm afraid, but looks very nice indeed (I love the all-weather mudguards). That chain ring is pretty distinctive, if it's OEM it should probably be enough to identify the bike?

if it's the original chainwheel of course....

If it's an Elswick it will have a serial number on the LHS at the top of the seat tube.

How strange, I was also watching this machine on ebay. I messaged the seller telling him what make the cycle was. I'm 99% sure this is a Pre-WW1 SWIFT.

Recalling the images (in my mind), I think its a 24 inch frame. Actually quite small for the era!.
