Hi to all,
I ask for a help to find the roots of my frame that is now a very nice long rider for me.
The dimencion of tubes is not French , BB is 70mm wide with British thread, It has no braze ons or cable stops at all exept some cylinders on top of top tube I removed. The seatpost is 26.6 mm , the head lug is very close to some Puch and many Raleighs and Carltons but not the same. Its color might be silver with chromed end fork . It has stamped ''72'' undre head lug and seat stays. The original wheel size was 27'' .I dig many years for an answer but I have no a serius answer. For this I changed Its name from Mercier to Motobecane and now is '' Superia '' for the first pro team of Eddy Merckx.
The bike in this last form is very nice and light but it would be fine for me to know its roots.

I am thinking you have a Schwinn Voyageur or Panasonic Dx2000, pretty much the same bike, both made by Panasonic at that time. The lug number is the degrees. From the pictures, I am guessing late 70's or early 80's. DSC00798_edited-1_zps235d9f2c.jpg

Panasonic was producing bicycles for Schwinn at this time, and later Giant was doing the same, so models may slightly vary. The Panasonic Schwinns were prettier, the Giant built ones were a better price point.

Dear Gravity Aided , thanks for your intertest and time , but I think both Panasonic and Schwinn that are very common in USA are very rare in my country ( Greece ) . I have never seen one . Thanks a lot anyway and keep ridind those lovely bicycles.
