Welcome to cycle chat.
Which areas are you planning on cycling. No such thing as a completely safe route, but most of my rides are anti-clockwise loops so that you avoid having to turn right at busy junctions.

Not my part of the UK, but a great place for cycling. You should get a some ideas from others. Loads of cc'ers from Yorkshire.
