Hello all,

I've not cycled much for the last couple of years but I recently bought a a hybrid bike and am steadily increasing the amount I ride it. I'm also getting acquainted with the guys in my LBS. I'm sure the forum will be a helpful source of info and advice.

Cheers,

GOAB.

What bike did you get?

I got a Giant Escape hybrid. I've pretty much always had trail and mountain bikes but I've never really taken them on anything more extreme than a muddy footpath.

When I was looking for a bike I was pretty much set on a road bike or hybrid but got the hybrid with the intention of being a cheap bike with drop bars at some point in the future.

Great bikes.
I am similar to you; muddy cycle tracks are the extent of my 'adventure' but I am fine with that.
I am a hybrid aficionado and have recently changed bikes to a Specialized Roll Elite having owned 6 different hybrids in the last 4 years since coming back to cycling in earnest.
