I thought I'd hung up my cycle clips for good. Then I got bitten by the cruising bug and discovered that it's quite a challenging job to park a car on a boat - but a couple of bikes? no problem at all! So now my partner and I can extend our cruising reach inland, wherever we fetch up.
It's been an education to experience the developments in the world of cycling. Such as the amazingly low weight of todays bikes. I used to keep my puncture repair outfit in a lunchbox-sized saddlebag. Now I just stick the tiny cube to my crash hat.
What next, I wonder?

but you don't need a crash hat on a bike but if you're going to wear one, please don't stick stuff to the outside of it which can stab you in the head in a crash. Many hat makers specifically warn against it.
