Hello?

I'm a 17 year old student who uses a training bike at a gym as I currently cannot afford a (decent) bike. However I have owned (very bad) mountain bikes before and I enjoyed riding them. However I'm considering to start riding road bikes (when I've got enough). Does anyone have any suggestion on what bike to get? As I don't want to spend a lot of money just to find out I don't like road cycling. Also I'm a fat bastard if that makes a difference? Thanks for any help.

Have a look at something second hand and if you're worried about weight get a steel frame, I would/did.

If you can, try borrowing a road bike from somebody similar in height, ride it for a few miles.
