Or he could be an arse.Either way nothing to lose any sleep over.

If it's someone I see regularly I usually say hello or wave. Other than that a smile usually works just as well for me, my gran always told me a smile costs you nothing clever lady my gran :smile: If people respond great if not their loss.

Just ignore them. Don't let them change the way you want to be. There will be 10 times as many cheery hello's back than grumpy ignores!

I always say Hi or just raise a hand if I'm not able to speak. The not able to speak is getting to be more often nowadays.
