Hello or not hello, that is the question

I use a shared path on my commute to work and always pass an old couple walking towards me he has a Zimmer they always say hello. Yesterday I saw them nearer to work and said I must be early - they both said No we're late

The guy may have been interval training and saving his breath on the slow recovery before the next big burst of energy.

Or he could be an arse.Either way nothing to lose any sleep over.

I wasn't sure about other cyclists when taking up cycling again.

However, after getting to know enough of you on this forum it's clear that no cyclist is worthy of my hello when out.

If it's someone I see regularly I usually say hello or wave. Other than that a smile usually works just as well for me, my gran always told me a smile costs you nothing clever lady my gran If people respond great if not their loss.

Just ignore them. Don't let them change the way you want to be. There will be 10 times as many cheery hello's back than grumpy ignores!

I always say Hi or just raise a hand if I'm not able to speak. The not able to speak is getting to be more often nowadays.
