Hello,
I've only been cycling for a couple of years and don't really regard myself as a proper cyclist yet, although I'm already on my second bike. I started with a Boardman Hybrid Team 2014 and I've recently upgraded to a Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Di2 3 Disc 2016 which is probably way beyond what I should be riding, however, I absolutely love it. I was quite apprehensive about moving to a proper road bike but so glad I did. I'm hoping to keep riding outside over winter by using the Boardman as the winter bike [any suggestions on tyres most welcome].
I've entered to take part in my first sportive at the end of next week around Thirsk, N Yorkshire.
I'm hoping I'll be able to learn lots from you all.

Sheffield is a cracking city. Spent three happy years there at University.
Thank you very much both! Yeah, Sheffield is great, quite hilly and the roads aren't good but the coffee is these days
