I come from a long line of club cyclists in Essex. Rode more than walked until I was into my 20s and then inexplicably became a bit of a petrol-head and moved to the US. Retired last year and decided I miss cycling after all these years. Picked up a second-hand hybrid and started riding local roads and having a blast. Also volunteering as an apprentice bike mechanic at a local bike non-profit. Thinking about putting a vintage road bike together and found some interesting threads on this site while googling for info. That's probably more than anyone wanted to know but you did ask....
