Hello everyone

I've lurked around the forum for a long time now.

Although I have owned my bike for a while I have only just started riding properly in the last month or so.

I have a few stone to lose which was the purpose in getting the bike in the first place, but I didn't reckon on the enjoyment of riding, I feel like a kid again!

Anyway this seems like a great forum and some of the stories are very inspirational!

Oh and I'm in the Doncaster area.

Tell us about your bike and bike rides

As an aside, I do have a soft spot for The Owls, great club and history . I was at Hillsborough in 91 watching your lot parade the League Cup before the game against my beloved Leicester City....you managed to hang on for a 0-0 draw .

I have a Giant Defy. I live right in the middle of the town centre so it's all road cycling, which I really enjoy. I'm managing just over 10 miles at the moment.

We did well to hang on for a draw considering the sides the two teams had at the time! I'm afraid it wouldn't be the case now!
