Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where you can buy these rims in the UK? Can't see to find anywhere...

Cheers

Have you tried hedwheels.com? It's the UK distributor for Hed stuff, also known as la bicicleta in Sheffield.

Only the Ardennes is available now, even on the main hedcycling.com site. Never paid attention to the difference between Ardennes, Bastogne, and Kermesse. I'm not sure either that you would be able to get them rim only.

Had my first ride on my new HED Ardennes at the weekend. I've always felt that the "benefits" and "feel" of more expensive wheels is often over stated.

However, I must say the "feel" from the wide 23mm rims is very noticable. I used the same 23mm tyres (and tubes| from my old 19mm rims for direct comparison. I reduced pressure by about 15% compared to my old wheels to take account of the larger volume. The profile of the tyre is much better. Fast cornering and decents is where you notice the difference the most, the wider rim is so more stable and its feels like you're on rails - seriously! Ride comfort is also improved a little as well as reducing jumping over more broken tarmac so rolling resistance is a little better in this situation. I still need to play with tyre pressure as I think I can go a little lower still without adding to resistance.
