I am looking for something that can give a bit more analysis for a ride with the heart rate (power meter unaffordable).

Something that gives you information like:

Z1: 40 minutes
Z2: 20 minutes
Z3: 10 minutes
z4: 5 minutes
z5: 1 minute
z6: 20 seconds

for the period of the ride would be great, and something that could also give it for a period of a week/ year etc.

I know strava premium can do this, but free trumps not free - what else is out there? (I used a garmin 500, not really explored garmin connect so no idea if this is adequate enough)

Cheers!

Someone help!!

What is the site that works alongside strava, bit more in depth analysis but imports and uses your strava data. I did join it but for the life of me can't think what it's called, it might do this.

Thank you for the suggestions - I am getting to grips with golden cheetah. It seems to provide some good info, but not necessarily user friendly and the interface isn't as smooth as stravas. That being said I can work out the time spent in each zone over a week period which is pretty useful to analyze!

Golden Cheetah is a bit clunky, but it is free and offers a lot of analysis potential, well worth getting to grips with.
