Hi
I have a smart phone that does not have ANT+ but has blue tooth, and I use endomondo to track rides. Are there cadence monitors and heart rate monitors that work on bluetooth and fit in with endomondo. I have aksed on their site too - just wanting a breadth of opinion. (Also looking for the cheapest option)

Sorry - LG Nexus 4 - according to LG website it has Bluetooth 4.0 BLE, but all of the sport accesory sites say that it is not supported. It does not support ANT+

OK - just discovered that Bluetooth 4.0 was activated on the LG Nexus 4 during the last update - that should mean I can go for the wahoo fitness stuff or the polar Bluetooth smart stuff. Thanks guys.

Samsung S3 and S4 are going to be updated soon as well and support Ant+ along with low power blue tooth stuff..... about as technical as I get

Forget the phone mate; treat yourself to a garmin edge for xmas
I had thought about that but it seems like extra expense when my phone does a lot anyway. I have a Garmin Oregon 300 too, but not quite an edge. It does speed, GPS etc, but not cadence or heart rate. I can just imagine my wife's response to me wanting something else!!

Garmin Edge 500/510 you need; you won't regret it.

Some get by with a phone but has a lot of drawbacks. Get something purpose built for what you need!

I have a Garmin Edge 800 which is fantastic but more than I need; should have got the 500.
