I no you guys have heard this all before but I dunno what to do.
I really fancy a new bike as I have a entry level bianchi via norne 7 2013. When I got it I wasn't sure if I was going to like cycling, it turns out I love it. Ive got the cycling drug to always wanting to ride and buy bits. I like campag so would like to stay with it but im sure shimano is also great. I love the wilier bikes and the look of the Isaac bikes but am unsure of Isaac as never really seen any on the road. I want something excotic, like a wilier, cervelo, focus or a orbea. Something you don't see from your everyday bike shop like evans. I have days I love my bianchi and days I don't. Its the colour (its like marmite) but I cant decide if I like marmite. So im stuck, im after a bike for long distances so has to be comfy but also fast as would like to compete in near future. I want to buy the right bike as not planning on selling my next bike. Or do I keep the bianchi and upgrade the wheels?? I do eventually want mavic cosmics. Am I making any sense or am I just confusing myself?? haha

Always wanted a Bianchi!!! (my Colnago makes me feel better about it though!)

I have a Via Nirone 7 2010 Xenon. It's perfectly possible to compete on it (I have, and I was overtaking people on "better" bikes). I do have a vague long term plan to upgrade the groupset and wheels and eventually swap them to a bling new frameset, but for now it's fine. At the moment, my bike is outperforming me. When it gets to the point where I am outperforming the bike, I will change it.

What about the Bianchi do you feel is holding you back?

Wheel upgrades are usually a worthwhile and cost effective update, but beware that the Cosmics might weigh more than your existing wheels, and depending on what sort or riding you're doing the alleged aero advantage will be minimal at best.

AS winjim said, "What about the Bianchi do you feel is holding you back?" Having said that, it's likely that you'll get more pleasure (but not necessarily speed or race results) from getting a better bike, such as an Orbea Orca, providing you don't weigh it down with some cosmics :headshake:!

Wilier is a great brand, my brother had a beauty, and I know someone with an Isaac, they are pretty special too, none too common. I feel much the same as you, except I don't have the money to spend so I will make do for now. What is your budget?

Actually fifth from the top if you consider Di2. 105, Ultegra, Dura Ace, Ultegra Di2, Dura Ace Di2. Although I might be somewhat out of date as I don't tend to keep up with these things. I know what you mean though, third from top of mechanical setups and 105 is very good:thumbsup:

All the groupset brands are much of a muchness, the buttons work slightly different with the same result.I use shimano and i always found it a bit to soft for my liking compared to sram which has a more positive click when shiftingbut im not a big fan of double tap so i am considering either campag or microshift upgrade on the commuter.
