hi all, im Dean 41 from kent i have always been on the smallish built side my brothers were too when younger but are both 14+ stone each now, but i at my heaviest in 1994 was 11 and a half stone then i had a duodenal stomach ulcer not recomended believe me.....after lots of camera,s in stomach passed down throat whilst awake ( which actually isnt that bad aprt from trying to answer there questions at same time pretty hard to speak as you can imagine lol )..anyway they said they caught it early and gave me lots of potions to clear it which it did eventually sort of.
i lost weight at time of ulcer big time went from 11+ stone to 8 and a half then back up to 9.2 stone where i am still at today i eat and eat constantly but no matter what the weight does not go back to the original 11 and ahlf stone, which is good in a way i guess.
i feel fine and very fit and pretty much like i was at 18 yrs old let alone 41.
having stomach problems on and off since 94 mostly just exess acid and indigestion i recently went to doctors recently who said ok its probably just indigestion again but to rule out heart problems we,ll do an ecg.
ok i said anyway after ecg the result was perfectly working heart and was told for my age the low heart rate of 51bpm which is mostly seen in athletes younger tham me which ranges from 40+ to 60 bpm,
he said mine if he had to guess would be between 60 and 75bpm at rest but he asked what i do to exercise ? i replied cycling, walking, occasional running he was rather inpressed and said the low at rest bpm is simply down to good health and lots of exercise and the right food even if on the odd occasion indigestion occurs .
its like i gone back in time to being 18 again i feel well healthy and fitter than ever before , but my healthy diet helps too white meat and fish, pasta, brown bread and loads of fruit & veg everyday especially tomatoes which i use daily on sandwiches or in cooking.........
