Hi guys,
Just picked up my new Lynskey Sportive with a Chris King headset (i know, berty big balls). Anyway, to cut a long story short - as short as my new commute times - I have noticed a bit of play in the headset (such that the top of the headset (where it is written 'nothreadset') shifts about 1-2mm in play! I cannot afford not to ride is as the motorcycle mechanics have also made a booboo on my motorcycle. I know, what do we pay these people for?

Can I fix the play, and if so, how? If not, can I at least ride the thing?
Much appreciated,
Lmow20

It is not unusual for a new bike to develop play in the headset fairly soon after it has been ridden. It is not adviseable to ride it like that as you risk damaging the very pricey CK headset. You really should return it to the dealer to sort as if you do it and damage something, then kiss goodbye to your warranty. However, if you really want to do it, here's how:

Easy Peasy - loosen the stem, tighten the top cap until the play disappears and the forks still turn freely and then re-tighten the stem.

Case solved.
Can't believe my ... well give me a break, i've only had threaded sets before and I was afraid to void any warranties and what have you.
Thanks very much to both replies - no wonder there are few instructions on this!
Happy cycling
