Headset Advice

Hi All,

I have recently bought a Specialized Crosstrail mainly to be used for commuting to work.

Its a fantastic bike, the only issue ive had is that ive felt very upright when riding. To resolve this i have flipped the headset over and moved one of the spacers to make me a bit less upright when riding.

My question is is this a good idea and does it look right? (Pics attached)

Appreciate any opinions or advice, thanks.

As ohnovino says your brake levers look a bit low now. They should be set so that when you place your fingers on the levers, your fingers and hand should follow the line of your forearm (same angle as your arm forearm).

Looks fine! I did this on my mountain bike, nothing wrong with it.

Just to be a bit of a pedant, it's the stem you have flipped - not the headset.

I have the same bike and yes quite an upright geometry to it....not really fiddled too much though as I managed to do some crouching if I needed to get a few more mph out of my efforts.
