Long shot...... I know this should be on a headache forum etc....and I am definately going to the doctors ASAP

4 weeks ago to this date I had a crash in which my helmet was destroyed.
I have since been getting progressively bad headaches...most noticeably behind the right eye.

However it has also been hotter, I have been going to bed later and exams are next week so have been a little worried.

Now my question: If I were to stick a knife in my head would it relieve the pain?....

....cos it f**king well feels like it

I used to suffer with headaches, turned out it was a trapped nerve in my neck.
A Dr cant fix that, maybe worth a visit to a chiropractor.

A tale of caution re headaches:

Back in Febuary I woke one morning with a headache, and a general shitty feeling that never cleared. Saw GP after a few weeks, diagnosed sinus congestion, take this spary yadda yadda yadda, see me again if things don't improve, long story short 3 weeks ago I had 3 seizures in 45 minutes and 2 weeks ago had a brain tumour removed from my right frontal lobe.

Life has changed drastically in the last 3 weeks!

In short go and see GP ASAP, be very specific over the history, don't skimp on info, insist on a fundoscopy to be peformed and do not be afraid to ask does the GP feel a CT or MR scan would be indicated - even a set of skull X-rays might be required in view of the significant histroy of head injury preceeding the headaches.

Fnerking shnit!!!!

I was going to mention meningitis, but re-reading your OP the big M strikes in about 4 hours, not 4 weeks.

+1 Get it checked - pronto.

holy sheidt + 1

A long time ago, when at secondary school I suffered bad from migraine headaches. The day after my last exam I collapsed with an epileptic fit, doctor took it very seriously then. Fortunately for me the scans proved clear, phew. I still had the headaches for a couple of years but not quite as bad and thanks to mis prescribed (by specialist) tablets for migraine (shouldn't have be given to someone on epilepsy tablets), I had a couple of translucent states leading to fits. Thankfully the second GP to see me realised and told my parents to flush the tablets down the toilet and touch wood I've had no more occurences in the following 14years.

OT In between times my body decided to develop Pancreatitis (nickname Alcoholics disease) despite me having never drunk. Fortunately scans were again negative and despite losing 2 stone in just a couple of months nothing has reoccurred.

Wish I was loosing weight, steriods + anti-epileptic drigs mean that I've piled weight on, had to go & buy some new clothes yesterday that fit, god knows what state I'll be when I get back to cycling anf gym in a few weeks time (hopefully.....)
