Head tube problem

Hi folks,

Have a problem with a loose head tube on my Bianchi Nirone.

However much I tighten the bolts the head tube will loosen again within a couple of hours with lots of sideways movement.

I've had the steerer apart and reassembled with copious amounts of grease but this hasn't solved it.

The top and bottom bearings don't appear to be in the best of condition - could this be the problem, or is it more likely to be in the head tube threads?

More than likely as you say bearings are not in good condition... change them and see if the problem is solved.
