The first one has the option to show 480p or 360p, the second only has 360p.

Personally I only watch videos at 360p, but a HD camera would make sense if you need to look back on your ride and find a numberplate of someone who knocked you and drove off (It happens, let's be honest)
 
Entirely up to you

My camera records at 960, but tends to get used at 720 to allow a higher frame rate

Uploading is usualy effective enough at 480, but takes ages. most points can be made on Youtube with 360 or 480

If I need to get a plate it is back to the original data. Equally Police or Companies get a disc of the raw data at 720

Vimeo is far better with regards to film clip quality; however, it lacks the community aspect of YouTube.

Just something to consider.

Watching them at the size they are on the post, I couldn't see much difference. When I tried watching in full screen, the second one wouldn't play - the picture just froze.
