I was at a red light on a big hill near home and as the light changed two guys on nice roadie bikes (drops and all) started to pass me but I hammered it and even though I stopped at the second light and they didn't I managed to pull way ahead of them again and remained in front all the way home. It was particularly nice to hear one say 'S*** mate, we're being beaten by a girl.

They hadn't had to stop at the lights so had nosed ahead before I got going. Pity my legs are killing me this morning....

Next time give them a sporting chance at the lights then cruise (pedalling frantically and try not to look out of breath) smile and wave then get home and collapse, will really piss them off!

I managed to pull off having a chat and a giggle with them at the next roundabout but when I got home I had to lie on the floor for a bit.

Oh and they caught up with me at the second light but I went past them again.
