I have a Hinde l, tape sport, with 105 gear set, and Mavic equipe wheels,
Is this a decent bike, only interested in the bike, i know all about the hinde bad publicity,
In his adds he states complete build weighing in at 17.5 lbs,
i have never weighed it, but a mate reckons its heavier, anybody weighed one?
What could i do to upgrade this bike I'm happy with the 105 gear system.
Looking forward to your answers.

Hinde does enjoy a certain reputation, but the bike is pretty good. No need to upgrade just yet.

I wouldn't worry about. If you like the bike and it does what you want it to do, don't worry about what anyone else says.

Good point, well made, and I agree entirely. but I think the OP was looking for some reassurance, that they had chosen wisely, which in my opinion FWIW, they have. The bike is good enough, but DH has had some poor reviews regarding his level of customer care.

You'll know when you need to upgrade. 105 kit is pretty good.

Better than the stuff I've got on three of my bikes anyway.

8kg isn't too bad. To get the bike significantly lighter you'd need to start spending some serious cash.

Is it decent? Well that all depends on what you want to do with it!

If the bike really is 17.5lb, or even 18lb with 105 groupo, the frame must be sub 1300g and the forks around 400g.

You can build a nice light bike on these.

They say its a "High end Winter training bike",

You could race this one...

They say its a good price... True.

i really like it, when i bought it, i hadnt read any Hinde reviews, so i guess i was lucky,
The bike didnt arrive on the day it should, i phoned them and the guy was polite,
saying there had been a mistake, and it would be delivered the next day, which it was,
I guess by the posts i was one of the lucky ones, this may sound stupid, but the first thing that caught my eye was the dark colour of the bike, i cant be doing with these multi coloured machines.

not at the same price level it isn't

105 components are excellent quality. If the bike weighs 17.5 lbs thats impressive.
