I'm thinking of selling my old Ti mountain bike that never gets used and my Tricross disc to put towards the cost of an all-purpose tourer/winter bike. Charge Plug 5 has hydraulic discs and will take mudguards or a rack. It looks good but has anybody ridden it yet?
Basically I want a disc and mudguard-equipped winter bike that I will enjoy almost as much as my Roubaix SL4, because I've used that all through this winter and had to do an awful lot of washng and maintenance to keep it in good nick. Thank God they didn't salt the roads this year. The Plug has a Tange steel frame, which ought to ride nicely but I don't expect it will ride as well as the Roubaix. The alternative would be a Roubaix disc but that won't take proper mudguards or a rack. Does anybody offer a lightweight carbon bike that would fit the bill?
